IMP-00008 unrecognized statement in the export file エラはIMPツールで DMPファイルをインポート/エクスポートするときに現れるかもしれないエラである。以下の通りに分けられる：
1. 誤ったIMP binaryバーションを使ったから、例えばexpの時に使っているのは10.2.0.5のexpなのに、9.2.0.1のimpでデータをインポートするときに、以上のようなエラになるかもしれない。
2. Expからエクスポートしたdmpファイル自体がこわされ、corruptionになった。

１.の場合に対しては正確なimpバーションとデータベースで避けられるが、exp/impのインポート/エクスポートするには低いバーションexportで、目標バーション版本impインポートという原則に従ってください。つまり10gデータベースのデータを9iへエクスポートすれば、9iのexpとimpを使ってください。
