ORA-00600[4097]エラはOracle 7.3から導入された。これはOracleがロールバックセグメントヘッダをアクセスするときに、トランザクションがコミットされたかを確認するが、関連するXIDにトラブルが起きたと気づいた。一般的、これはロールバックセグメントに損害/エラがあるからである。このエラはカーネルロールバックに属している。これによって、データベースが起動できなくなる。あるいは持続的にエラ報告が現れる。
